98 candidates clear Nagaland Civil Services Exams 2021

A total of 98 candidates have cleared the final examinations of filing up various services under the Government of Nagaland, with three women among the top four, though their male counterparts dominated the top ten merit list.    

The Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) declared the final Results of NCS, NPS, NSS & Allied Services Examination 2021 on November 15 culminating the 2021 cycle of examinations conducted over a period of nearly one year. 

The final results, as per the Commission, were on the basis of marks obtained in the Main Written Examination, Viva-voce and Medical & Police Fitness Tests and options exercised by the candidates.

Accordingly, Imkongnukla Ao was ranked highest, followed by Alemyim Isaac Solo. Both were selected as Extra Assistant Commissioner (Cl-I Gazetted Junior Grade), under Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department. Takatemjen Pongen was third on the list while Nengpichong Singsit rounded up the top four.     

Each year, over 10,000-14000 candidates appear for the state’s civil service exams, which among others, selects candidates for EAC, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Secretariat Assistant posts.

For the 2021, the preliminary examination was first held on November 27, 2021. 

A total of 981 cleared the prelims when results were declared on May 21, 2022. Thereafter, the written examinations for the Main examination were held from June 22-24.

A total of 293 candidates were called for the Viva-voce held from October 11, 2022 onwards on the basis of the marks obtained in the Main examination. The process culminated with selection of 98 candidates for various posts, including 10 EAC, 7 DSP and 35 Secretariat Assistant.

Meanwhile, the results notification from the NPSC on Tuesday further informed that any selected candidate intending not to accept the post for which he/she is selected may submit a Non-Acceptance Letter on or before November 21.

“The results are purely provisional subject to verification of antecedents and documents and consequence of Non-Acceptance Letter submitted by selected candidates,” it said. 

Considering the Non-Acceptance Letter(s) by selected candidates, on the expiry of 7 (seven) days, the revised result based on the options exercised by the candidates shall be notified which will be final, it added. 

For 2022 cycle, the preliminary examination is scheduled to be held on November 26.
