The Fellowship of Naga Baptist Associations is a fellowship of all Naga Baptist Churches and Associations for the entire areas of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Myanmar and Nagaland state.
It is our vision and dream that in and for God’s glory all Naga people will one day live together in one common territory, in one country as a nation where there will be no geographical segment as Nagas of Assam or Arunachal, Nagas of Manipur or Myanmar, or Nagas of Nagaland state; no Angami country or Ao country, no Sumi country or Lotha country, and so on, but only one united states of the Naga Nation.
Naga unity is the need of our time today: - a unity which is neither uniformity nor organic, a unity which is not “birds of the same feather” or like-mindedness, but a unity which is whole, inclusive and in perfect harmony in thought and action-totality of the total being.
The many currents and cross-currents that exist must be merged, synthesized and digested into one organic whole of Naganess to demonstrate Nagahood, with the kind of unity that transcends all geographical and political barriers; with the kinds of unity that transcends all communal or religious differences and be a ruling or over-ruling power over all other differences and divisions however unique or distinct they may be.
History reveals that there are commonalities and special features which contribute greatly to the cause of Naga unity. Leaving aside negative barriers, the time is ripe for us to increasingly focus and concentrate on these commonalities and special features to strengthen our unity. To this end, reconciliation is the key to bring our common hope and aspirations, our common dreams and visions into reality and to bring about peace and unity. The time for passing the ball to one another is over. Now is the time for scoring goals.
Reconciliation is like the beauty of musical harmony: discordant keys of conflict and confrontations must be corrected and tuned up. We must unite in our purpose, goals and objectives; we must unite in our strategies and struggle together, we must unite in our direction and destiny as a nation. Giving new pragmatic perception to our history and situation, past or present, we need to strive for stronger cooperation and active engagement in our discussions and decisions on reconciliation. We should not get into the ship and drown.
The FNBA stands to support the ministry of reconciliation to bring about restoration of a strong Naga relationship. We request the Forum of Naga Reconciliation to speedily address issues and problems that stands in the way and hasten the process of early and lasting reconciliation, peace, and unity in our land.
We hope that all Naga frontier organization will come towards to support Naga National, Reconciliation in this historical meeting.
