KOHIMA, DECEMBER 15 (MExN): The Affirmative Action Program (AAP) initiated by the office of the Sub-Regional Employment Office along with Model Career Centre (MCC)/Regional Employment Exchange) in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was completed on December 12.
It was held at the Conference Hall, Directorate of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Kohima.
This TCS AA program aims to improve employability of young people by giving the right opportunities and skills, even the socially and economically excluded youth from the weaker sections of society will be able to uplift their families out of poverty, join the process of social inclusion and shall have a better dignified life. The TCS AA program aims at providing Free Employability Training for the SC/ST and extremely economically backward candidates from Minority and other social groups of the country.
The training was launched on November 25 and focuses on enhancing and improving the confidence level of the participants and hones their communication skills in English and analytical reasoning. This 100 hours training comprises the following curriculum: Communication English, Corporate etiquette and soft skills, resume building and interview facing skills, analytical and computer skills.
All candidates who completed the training received a certificate of completion & appreciation which will increase their employability in the corporate world. They will also have the opportunity to be selected by TCS and be part of this great corporate giant who has been awarded the Best Employer and is one of the top five employers in the world!
Interview after completion of training for the candidates with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was held on December 13 at the same location, for which further information will be published after completion of the interview rounds and final selection of the candidates.
The felicitation program was attended by the Additional Director, Joint Director,Directorate of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, SREO Kohima, ITI Principal and Officers of Regional Employment Exchange (MCC), Kohima.

This will be a continuous program to recruit candidates in batches from Nagaland and place them in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in the Business Process Services(BPS) sector, which is targeted at Schedule Tribes(ST) and weaker sections of society to give them the opportunity in the corporate sector.
