Aghunato , January 22 (MExN): The Aghunato Town Students' Union (ATSU)requested the State government, NGOs, social organisations and activists within Nagaland to come forward with their helping hand for families and students who have lost properties in the ‘tragic fire incident that broke out in Aghunato on January 19.
According to a press release from the union, the fire, among others burnt down a hostel where around 30 students were preparing for their HSLC (Class 10) examination along with some shops attached with the building.
The total loss of properties amounted to around Rs 1.72 cores, the union informed in the press release from its president Hekavi Yeptho.
The union further encouraged students to continue with the same spirit in the preparation for their upcoming exam.
