ANPSA Kohima, Burlington English hold workshop on empowering educators

ANPSA, Kohima Unit, in collaboration with Burlington English, conducted the 100ED Fest Workshop at Hotel Japfu on September 6.

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 7 (MExN): The All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA), Kohima Unit, in collaboration with Burlington English, conducted the 100ED Fest Workshop at Hotel Japfu here on Saturday.

Altogether 42 educators from 21 schools in Kohima district participated in the programme, held on the theme “Empowering Educators to Support 21st-Century Learners.”

The workshop was facilitated by Dr Soubhagya Dutt, Master Trainer, who through a series of interactive sessions addressed challenges faced by educators. The discussions focused on social media and student well-being, building student motivation, navigating adolescent relationships, and strengthening collaboration with parents.

The programme began with a welcome address by Fr Innocent Panmei SDB, President of ANPSA Kohima Unit, who thanked Burlington English for the collaboration and urged participants to make the most of the sessions.

Participants described the sessions as relevant and impactful, offering practical strategies for addressing challenges in schools. Teachers also appreciated the insights provided by the trainer and underlined the importance of such professional development initiatives.

Speaking at the event, Fr Jacob Charalel, Vice President of ANPSA Central and Catholic Schools In-charge, Nagaland, stressed the need for continuous upskilling of educators to meet the evolving demands of education. He expressed gratitude to Burlington English for extending its expertise and to the ANPSA Kohima Unit for organizing the workshop.

ANPSA Kohima executives said the event was aimed at fostering stronger collaboration among private schools in the district and equipping educators to better serve learners in the 21st century.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks from Thomas VJ, General Secretary, ANPSA Kohima Unit.
