Mokokchung, July 9 (MExN): An Assessment Camp for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (Divyangjan) under Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana and ADIP Scheme was conducted at the Community Health Centre Changtongya, Mokokchung on July 7.
The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, in collaboration with Mokokchung District Administration and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) conducted the camp.
According to a DIPR report, a total of 96 beneficiaries were assessed and registered during the assessment camp and 23 were identified under Assistance to Disabled persons for purchasing/ fitting of aids / appliances (ADIP) scheme while 73 were identified under RVY (Senior Citizen).
The report further informed that SDO (C) Rorheu Peseyie; Dr Imtijungshi, SMO; staff from CHC Changtongya; Caritas India CBR staff; Mokokchung District Disabled Forum; and ALIMCO team led by Suman Kumar (Rehab Expert/Prosthetist & Orthotist) attended at the camp.
