Dimapur, May 28 (MExN): The Ao Senso Telongjem, Dimapur (ASTD) on May 28 appreciated the state government’s decision to set up BSL-2 lab in Tuensang district and also to set up TrueNat testing facilities in all the districts of the state. Proper setting up and installation of more such Bio Safety Level (BSL) laboratory in all district headquarter would automatically minimize the burden of the lone BSL-3 lab in Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), The ASTD said in its press statement. It also expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in installation of the BSL-2 lab in Referral Hospital Dimapur, saying that it is being carried out at a ‘snail pace’. It urged the government to expedite the early installation of the BSL-2 lab in Dimapur. On the statements issued by different hohos and forums to send back all the stranded peoples to their respective districts, the ASTD appealed to overcome the pandemic together. The ASTD further extended solidarity and sympathy to the Eastern Nagas, while appealing to them to initiate and carry out their protests or demands through proper means of peaceful coordination with the government, its advisories and agents.
