DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 13 (MExN): Over the years, different departments and officers of the government may have developed excellent practices on good governance and generated innovations which have resulted in efficient management of human and material resources, improved performance of the office/department, efficient public service delivery, effective implementation of the programmes and policies of the government, and introduction of novel techniques and methods to cater to different needs in the society.
However, such practices and initiatives may not have been documented, and remain unknown or are confined to limited spaces.
Therefore, with the objective of identifying and keeping a record of such innovative practices and good governance initiatives, and to give due recognition to the departments and officers which have developed such initiatives, Administrative Training Institute (ATI) has solicited submission of written/visual materials from government offices/departments.
All materials so collected is proposed to be compiled and appropriately maintained at ATI to serve as a repository of resources for reference, learning and research, a DIPR report stated.
Towards this, government departments have been requested to certify the originality of the work while submitting the materials. Authorship of any written/visual material or development of any innovative idea by any department/officer shall be duly accorded and acknowledged.
Departments may also identify officers who are suitably equipped to impart training to others on those best practices and good initiatives so that emulation and replication of such innovations happen in the interest of the State, the government and the society. The departments have been requested to submit the same by March 31, 2024, the DIPR report notified.
