ATI hosts first workshop on Capacity Building Plan development using AI tools

Kohima, April 29 (MExN): The first workshop on Capacity Building Plan development using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools is being held at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima.

The two day workshop on iGOT Karmayogi is being organised by the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department in collaboration with ATI, with resource persons from the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), namely Ranu Mukherjee and Maibam Warish for Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland.

The inaugural programme of the first such workshop in the state was held at ATI with a total of 65 participants from 35 departments. Shashank Shekhar delivered the inaugural address.

In his speech, he stated that when the government functions in an efficient and responsive manner, it has a direct impact on society. He added that the main and fundamental role of government is to work for the common people. Officials from the CBC also gave a short presentation.

The inaugural programme was chaired by Limakumla, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Livitoli Sukhalu. The programme was attended by Bendanglila along with officers and staff of ATI.

A press release from the ATI informed that Capacity Building Plan is a mechanism for developing training modules for government employees using AI tools.

The CBP will be used as a blueprint for the training requirements of departments with the aim of building future ready, citizen centric civil servants.

It will incorporate the national push towards capacity building at an institutional level while also taking into account state specific roles and responsibilities in various departments.
