The programme was organised by the Department of Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection (LM&CP), Tuensang, in collaboration with Government High School, Kuthur.
An invocation was pronounced by Y Mongchim George, pastor of Kuthur Baptist Borü, followed by a welcome address from Y Mukhe, head in-charge of the school, who expressed appreciation to the department and legal representatives for choosing Kuthur as the venue to engage grassroots citizens in consumer education.

The keynote address on “Consumer Rights & Responsibilities” was delivered by Herola, panel lawyer with the Tuensang District Legal Services Authority. She explained the six basic consumer rights enshrined in the Consumer Protection Act, including the right to safety, information, choice, representation, redressal, and consumer education.
