Awareness programme on KGVY was held at Little Hut Conference Hall in Ward-6, Chümoukedima district on March 31.

Chümoukedima, March 31 (MExN): A one-day district level awareness programme on Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (KGVY) was held at Little Hut Conference Hall in Ward-6, Chümoukedima district on March 31.
The programme was jointly organised by Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC) Dimapur & Little Hut Chümoukedima, according to a press release received here.
As per the release, Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY) scheme is for promotion and development of village industries through common facilities, technological modernisation, training etc., and other support and services for promotion of village industries.
Director of KVIC Dimapur AS Deewan, while highlighting the various activities of the department being undertaken to promote entrepreneurship urged the participants to take keen interest in the KGVY scheme, the release stated.
Manoj Kumar and Sani Pongen, District Officer, KVIC Dimapur deliberated that the main objective of KGVY scheme is to promote in generating employment opportunities for rural artisans through implementation of various schemes and programmes. If any person between the ages of 18-55 years is looking to begin a startup, this central government seminar cam be of help to them, the release stated.
