Dimapur, July 27 (MExN): The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has condemned an alleged incident of indiscriminate shooting at the business premises of its Joint Secretary Maj Vikuto Asumi by unknown miscreants at Naga Shopping Arcade.
“The incident came to light on July 26 as his staff opened the shutter and found glass panels shattered and a bullet hole was found penetrating the shutter. An FIR was thereafter lodged at East police station Dimapur,” it said in a press release on Wednesday.
Stating that such unwarranted shooting in a busy business area not only causes loss of property but also endangers lives and compromises security of individuals who wish to run their businesses peacefully, BAN condemned the act and called upon the police to investigate the matter diligently to nab the culprits and bring them to book at the earliest.
