Chümoukedima, July 1 (MExN): The State BJYM held its executive meeting at Chümoukedima with Minister for PHE, Jacob Zhimomi as special guest on June 30. Rajya Sabha MP, Phagnon Konyak also addressed the session.
Media Cell, BJYM Nagaland in a press release stated that addressing the gathering, Jacob Zhimomi said, it is the endeavour of the BJP to see the country is united for peace, progress and development and added “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sincerity towards growth and development is unparalleled.” He said the country has celebrated 8 years of NDA government at the centre and highlighted the achievements of the government in various sectors.
Jacob also talked about the success of COVID-19 vaccines during the pandemic, besides Swachha Bharat, Fit India Movement, Ayushman Bharart etc. ‘Without party one cannot govern and one cannot deliver on the manifesto and assured that the BJP would deliver more to the citizens of the country,’ he stated.
Meanwhile, he suggested that the party bring out a magazine consisting of the programmes and policies of the government in the local dialect and distribute it in all the districts of the state.
State BJYM president, Hosheto Awomi in his speech shared about the working system in the party while emphasizing on the team spirit. Apart from the team spirit, their priority has been to build an all-encompassing, ubiquitous and all embracing organizational structure right from the booth to the upper level, he stated.
After many decades of misgovernance and ineffective implementation, the country is marching towards a “Atma Nirbhar Bharat”, he observed and added that the transformational impact of the Modi government’s policies and schemes has not left any section of the society untouched.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Arvind Damani, BJYM National Executive Member and incharge of Meghalaya.
