A white flag emblazoned with a red cross put up at a home in Kohima as part of the CBCMHK’s ‘Faith Flag Movement.’
KOHIMA, MAY 16 (MExN): The Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers Hill Kohima (CBCMHK) has started a ‘Faith Flag Movement’ encouraging every family and individual to hoist a white flag emblazoned with the “red cross of Jesus Christ in prominent places of their homes to remind and declare that we belong to Jesus and that we are his followers.”
A press release from the CBCMHK stated that the world is fighting one of the fiercest battles humanity has ever known.
“The fight against Covid-19 can be defeated with the help of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Nothing is too difficult for God because what is impossible with man is possible with God. Therefore, the battle belongs to God and he will fight for us. Our responsibility is to seek him and live for him; we will put our faith in him, serve him and declare to the world that Jesus is Lord; and whoever believes in him shall be saved,” it said.
It issued a statement which affirmed to fight this battle united “under the banner and power of the blood of Jesus Christ; “proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father;” and to “live by faith and bear living testimony for the Lord.”
“Christ is our captain and we fight life's battle in his name,” it added, while stating that Bible verses “shall be pasted in places where all can see and read:”
The verses include Exodus 12:13 (NIV) - "The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will strike you when I touch Egypt;" Deuteronomy 6:8 (NIV) - "Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates;" and Exodus 14:14 (NKJV) – “The LORD will fight for you; you shall hold your peace."
