Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): The second batch training in the ‘Centre for Empowerment Women & Child’ will start from July 18 at CEWC, near Signal Angami Village Gate. Limited number of ten students is admitted in each department. The issue of prospectus and admission forms and also personal interview will be conducted on July 18 itself.
The centre run by the Kenourhe Thenumiapfüko Society is a part of the Operation Sadhbavan was dedicated to the villagers of Signal Angami village and especially to women and children of Nagaland, informed a press release issued by CEWC chairperson Ketsoienuo. The Centre inaugurated by Rita Dadwal, president of Spears, HQ 3 Corps Army wives Association provides training facilities for tailoring, cosmetology, food processing, embroidery and knitting. It also provides a separate hostel which can accommodate ten women and children with complete facility of water supply, playware and arboriculture.
The first batch has successfully completed its six months certification course. The centre has entered into its second phase training and admission is open to those women and children who have a keen desire to learn and hence forth empower themselves from this skills and develop economic self sufficiency from this programme.
