Kohima, February 18 (MExN): The marksheets of the students of Class 10 and 12 under the Nagaland Board of School Education for 2019 and 2020 is now available on DigiLocker, the Press Information Bureau Kohima informed in an update.
“Good News for Students of #Nagaland Board of School Education! Get your Class 10th &12th Marksheet for the year 2019 & 2020 through #DigiLocker. Install DigiLocker App to access your important documents and certificates,” stated the PIB Kohima in a tweet on February 17.
“Install DigiLocker App to access your important documents and certificates,” it added.
As per the DigiLocker dashboard, driving license and registration of vehicles documents of Nagaland motor vehicle department are available on its portal (https://digilocker.gov.in/dashboard).
What is DigiLocker?
The DigiLocker is a flagship initiative of Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) under Digital India programme aimed at ‘Digital Empowerment’ of citizen by providing access to authentic digital documents to citizen’s digital document wallet.
“The issued documents in DigiLocker system are deemed to be at par with original physical documents as per Rule 9A of the Information Technology (Preservation and Retention of Information by Intermediaries providing Digital Locker facilities) Rules, 2016 notified on February 8, 2017 vide G.S.R. 711(E),” added the information available on the portal.
Among others, it listed the benefits of DigiLocker as enabling access to important documents “Anytime, Anywhere!” which are authentic and “legally at par with originals.”
It is digital document exchange with the consent of the citizen and enables faster service delivery, it added.
Registration
To register or create an account, one need a mobile or Aadhaar numbe which would be authenticated by sending an OTP (one-time password) followed by setting a security PIN for 2-Factor authentication.
Both android and IoS mobile application of DigiLocker also available and user can download the same register themselves.
As per the Dashboard, there are 92.28 million DigiLocker users and 4.86 billion documents have been issued as of 7 PM on February 17, 2022.
