
In Chümoukedima alone, 14 Govt offices owe over Rs 1.69 crore in power bills
Chümoukedima, March 22 (MExN): The Chumukedima Electrical Division has informed consumers covering all categories under the division to clear all arrear bills before March 31 to avoid disconnection.
Government offices will also be liable to disconnected if payment is not done before March 31, informed a press release from Er Atoho Achumi, Executive Engineer, Chumukedima Electrical Division.
As per the data provided by the division, a total of 14 government offices combine owe over Rs 1.69 crore in power bills up to the month of February.
The police department led the tally with over Rs 1.42 crore, followed by Forest at Rs 6.42 lakh, and Health & Family Welfare at Rs 4.40 lakh.
Payment of bills on time would help to reduce the gap between revenue collected and the target set for the division in this financial year ending, the release said.
For any discrepancy in the bill, the consumer may visit the office of respective SDOs, it added.
