Second college of nursing in NE to be awarded NAAC accreditation
Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): The College of Nursing Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research, (CIHSR) Dimapur has been awarded Grade B by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) during the 1st cycle of assessment and accreditation.
“The College of Nursing, CIHSR is the 1st and only college of Nursing in the state of Nagaland. Established only a decade ago, the College is second among the colleges of nursing in the North East of India to be awarded NAAC accreditation,” stated Dr Christy Simpson, Principal, College of Nursing, CIHSR in a press release.
A peer team constituted by the NAAC under the chairmanship of Professor M Pushpavathi Mariswamy, along with coordinator Dr Geeta Parwanda and member Dr Manju Chhugani assessed the institute from February 24 to 25, 2022 and handed over the report to Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Coordinator, Bendangmenla Ao and Principal Dr Christy Simpson.
“The peer team members while lauding the efforts of the young and dynamic faculty, emphasized on strengthening student centric innovative educational approaches and research activities,” the principal added.
