Dimapur | September 9 : An MMS clip, showing a young girl and a boy in sexual acts, reportedly of Dimapur, is doing the rounds here. This particularly clip created much commotion at SD Jain Girls College on Friday, as the girl in the clip is shown wearing the college uniform. This led to disruption of normal academic classes for the day. For the boy, his face is not shown. The clip is of around six minutes long and features a non-Naga girl.
It all started on Wednesday, when some of the students came across the clip, who in turn informed the college authority. It placed the management in a quandary as the reputation of the college was at stake. The management wasting no time started an uphill task of checking the profiles of around 1200 students studying at the college at present, which is still continuing. As on Friday, the management said that they did not come across any evidence linking the girl in the clip to the college.
The agitated students, already wary of a similar clip uploaded on ‘Youtube’, which features a group of young girls in an inebriated state trying to kiss one another, are demanding that the matter be sorted out before it goes out of hand.
The principal, Dr. JC Das on Friday said that the students are demanding action as the clip puts the college as well as its students in a bad light. “The girls are very agitated and rightly so,” said Dr. Das. He said that the college’s management is aware of the clip’s existence but cannot ascertain at the moment whether the girl in the clip is really from the college. “We got to know of it only the day before yesterday (Wednesday).” “If the girl is really from the college, we’d have known by now” and have taken action. Still, the management is continuing with the task of checking the profiles of all the students, he said.
Meanwhile, Kishore Kashliwal, secretary of the college managing committee hinted it might also be a ploy to tarnish the image of the college. Queried whether they have made a police complaint, he replied in the negative. He reasoned that they do not have enough proof to go to the police. The students also echoed a similar view. One of them said that if the girl is from the college, the students will be the first to recognize the girl.
Another clip showing a group of girls indulging in lesbian acts inside the classroom reportedly wearing the college uniform is also in circulation, they said. But they doubt the authenticity of that clip as well. The setting in the clip is not of the college, they said. “We know very well the interior setting of our classrooms,” one girl said.
They went so far as to claim that copies of the first clip are being sold in the market. On this the principal said he cannot make any comment since it might be hearsay. He said that they have not come across any copy of the CDs, reportedly being sold.
