Community prepares quarantine facilities in Ahthibung

Ahthibung, June 2 (MExN): In an effort to provide a homely atmosphere to the returnees, the Management of Quarantine Facility Centre (QFC) Ahthibung is leaving no stone unturned.


“Community contribution is the main resources which is helping the centre to function. Though faced with bad weather, the community relentlessly worked the last 10 days in order to make all needs of the inmates easily accessible,” QFC Ahthibung Member Secretary, Chungminthang Singson informed in a press release. 


The QFC Ahthibung which has seven buildings requisitioned with a capacity of 60 people has separate water points, toilets, bathrooms and power sockets for each person. 


The food catering will be taken care by Kuki Baptist Church, Ahthibung; Kuki Christian Church Ahthibung; and Christian Revival Church, Ahthibung. They will be providing packaged food (single use).


While expressing hope that the authorities will continue to extend help and financial support to the Centre, the secretary said that the district administration under Ruopfukutuo Noudi, SDO (Civil) Ahthibung, is doing a commendable job and his frequent visits to the Centre and taking stock of its needs, has encouraged all stakeholders.
