Participants during the conference-cum-retreat of the Chief Electoral Officers from April 2 to 4.

Dimapur, April 10 (MExN): In view of the upcoming General Election to the Lok Sabha, 2024, the Election Commission of India organised a conference-cum-retreat of the Chief Electoral Officers from April 2 to 4 at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie (Uttarakhand).
A press release issued by the CEO office of Nagaland, the main objectives of the conference were to initiate preparation for the General Elections to the House of the People in 2024, to review the organizational structure of the CEO Offices and align them with various verticals of the election process, and to set up a common minimum agenda and goals for each functional vertical of the election process.
Altogether Chief Electoral Officers and officers of 34 States and Union Territories participated in the conference.
