DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 22 (MExN): The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed Nagaland Congress leader Rajesh Kumar Sethi as the observer for the Narwana Assembly constituency in the upcoming Haryana State Assembly election. The announcement was made in a notification issued by Imran Pratapgarhi, Chairman of the AICC Minority Department and Rajya Sabha MP.

Sethi, who also serves as the AICC National Coordinator in charge of Manipur, expressed gratitude to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, K. Raju, and Pratapgarhi for entrusting him with this responsibility. He praised the party's leadership for forming a strong team in Haryana and emphasized his commitment to contributing to the formation of a Congress government in the state.

Reflecting on the political history of the Narwana Assembly constituency, Sethi noted that Randeep Surjewala, a senior Congress leader, won the seat in 1996 and 2005 with a significant margin. He highlighted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has never secured a victory in the constituency, underscoring Congress’s strong presence in the region.
