Little Flower Higher Secondary School observes cultural fest

Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Kohima observed its cultural fest at the school premises on the theme, ‘Connect: Let’s celebrate our differences and live as one’ on October 31.
Addressing the gathering, Advisor for Information Technology and Communication, Science and Technology, NPE, Mmhonlumo Kikon, said, ‘today, in the age of technology and globalisation, we have to know ourselves but also know what we can do.’
Kikon added that our culture showcases our identity and we should appreciate each other’s cultural differences. He encouraged the students to always see the bigger picture and that all dreams and aspirations can be achieved in the school itself.
Asano Sekhose, Chairman, NBSE was the special invitee. She expressed her gratitude and congratulated the school for giving opportunities to all categories of school students and urged the students and staff that the Cultural Fest was the right way to create awareness to preserve one’s culture. Sekhose asked students to stay focused in preserving one’s culture but on one’s studies as well to create a positive impact tomorrow.
Principal, Sr Lucy Gangmei (FMA) while delivering the welcome address said that the cultural fest was a great way to understand and appreciate one’s culture and added that we have to appreciate who we are and where we come from as well as to celebrate diversity.
During the programme, students presented dances and songs of various tribes and communities of Nagaland. As part of the Cultural Fest, Morungs and traditional wares were put on show for competition. Invocation prayer was pronounced by Superior, Sr. Adaphro Rosemary (FMA).
