Consultative meeting on ‘revamped distribution sector scheme’ in Dimapur

Dimapur, August 8 (MExN): A consultative meeting of GB Union Dimapur and the Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) on ‘revamped distribution sector scheme’ was held at DC conference hall, Dimapur on August 8.

A DIPR report stated that the meeting was chaired by DC Dimapur Sachin Jaiswal, where he welcomed all the members present and reviewed the points discussed in the last meeting. 

Er Y Akito Sema, EECE Dimapur Electrical Division highlighted the objectives of ‘revamped distribution sector scheme of government of India.’ The scope, parts of scheme and how the public would benefit from installing smart prepaid metering. 

DUCCF President, Zasivikho Zakiesato shared the core issues and grievances faced by the public specially the BPL section. He talked about the condition and supply of quality of power in Dimapur. Zakiesato also highlighted on the problems the public will faced if prepaid meter is installed and also took cite of Assam state where consumers opposed the prepaid meter and the cons of installing prepaid system. 

The meeting deliberated at length discussing and sharing grievances and opinions from all members. The DC Sachin Jaiswal observed that one should consider the good government policy schemes which aim to benefit all the public and the state as well. The house decided to have more consultative meetings for more positive outcome.
