Consultative meeting on RIIN on April 16

Kohima, April 11 (MExN): The state Home Department has convened a consultative meeting with all the tribal hohos and organisations on April 16 at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima.

According to the state DIPR, the meeting which was convened in pursuance of the Cabinet decision on April 7, would deliberate on the proper modalities and systems to achieve the objective of the Register of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN).

The Presidents and one representative of the Angami Public Organization; Ao Senden; Chakhesang Public Organization; Chang Khulei Setsang; Kachari Tribal Council Nagaland; Karbi (Mikir) Union, Nagaland; Konyak Union; Khiamniungan Tribal Council; Kuki Inpi (Nagaland); Lotha Hoho; Nagaland Garo Tribal Council; Phom Peoples’ Council; Pochury Hoho; Rengma Hoho; Sumi Hoho; United Sangtam Likhum Pumji; Yimchunger Tribal Council, and Zeliang People Organization, along with the President and two representatives of Central Nagaland Tribes Council; Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization and Tenyimi Peoples’ Organization have been requested to attend the meeting. 

Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers and Advisors, along with the Chief Secretary, Commissioner, Nagaland, and all the Deputy Commissioners will be present in the meeting whiech will begin at 10:00 am, it added.
