COVID-19: 330 cases in Nagaland, 189 active

A day after the highest single-day spike of new COVID-19 confirmed cases in the state, 50 new active cases were added to the state’s total tally of infected persons on Tuesday morning. 


Nagaland now has a total of 330 COVID-19 infections, out of which, 189 were designated as active. 


The number of recoveries remained unchanged for two consecutive days at 141, denoting a recovery rate of 42.72%.


According to the daily briefing on COVID-19 by Principal Secretary Home, Abhijit Sinha, as on Tuesday, the total number of positive cases in the State stands at 330. Out of this, the total active cases are 189, and 141 have recovered. 


All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID Care Centres. As per the severity of symptoms, all the 189 active cases are asymptomatic, Sinha stated.


7 districts in Nagaland – Dimapur, Kohima, Peren, Phek, Mon, Zunheboto and Tuensang - have so far reported one or more cases of COVID-19.


Updates on Nagaland COVID-19 Dashboard on Tuesday morning informed that out of the 330 total cases, 226 were males and 105 females. Most of the cases were in the 18 - 44 years age group at 310, followed by 10 in 0 – 17 years and 9 in 45 – 64 years age bracket. There was a single case among 65 - 74 years cohort.
