
Dimapur, March 11 (MExN): The state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme on Friday reported two new COVID-19 cases and four single-day recoveries from the disease.
The daily bulletin issued by the ISDP stated that the new cases were detected during self tests and random testing in Mokokchung district. This takes the cumulative tally of infections to 35,445 and the active case count to 65.
Meanwhile, Nagaland’s cumulative recoveries increased to 33, 141 after three patients in Dimapur and one in Wokha recuperated from the disease, and the death toll remained unchanged at 753 as no fresh fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours.
Out of 65 active cases in the state, 56 are asymptomatic, eight mild and one moderate on oxygen.
Dimapur district has the highest COVID-19 caseload with 42 active cases, 15 in Kohima, six in Mokokchung, and one each in Kiphire and Longleng. While data reporting for the new districts are covered under former districts as there are no separate surveillance units yet for the new districts, as on Friday, there are no active COVID-19 cases in Wokha, Mon, Tuensang, Peren, Zunheboto and Phek districts.
