Peren, June 23 (MExN): In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and taking into account the large number of individuals entering the district from all parts of the country, the district has established several quarantine facilities to accommodate the returnees as per the Standard Operating Protocols (SoPs) issued by the government from time to time.
“However, it has been reported that violations of Government orders by returnees are occurring at some quarantine facilities,” therefore, the Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS has constituted the District Legal Team with to look into such violations.
As per a DIPR report, the team member includes EAC Ngwalwa, Rumbemo T Kithan as Convener, SDPO Peren VikatoThonger and APP Peren, Zheviholi Swu as members.
The District Legal Team will ensure the following:
• Identify all legal provisions with regard to violations of Government orders by the inmates of quarantine centers.
• Identify all legal provisions with regard to non-compliance of Government orders by government employees.
• Establish a standard operating procedure for imposition of specific legal provisions on individuals violating Government orders.
• Any legal matters related to COVID-19 matters assigned to the team by the undersigned.
The District Legal Team will be convening a meeting to discuss on the above mentioned points on the June 26 at 1:00 PM at the DC Office, New Hq.
