CTAN demand termination of ‘illegal appointments’

Dimapur, March 10 (MExN): The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) demanded “immediate termination of Avilie Nagi (JSCO) and H Agape Yeputhomi (JSCO) appointed in the scale pay of PB-2 Rs 9300-34800/ and Grade pay Rs 4400/-P.M under Soil and Water Conservation Department.”

The CTAN Media Cell in a press release stated that the two have been occupying the posts since June 3, 2016 till date.

The association gave a “final reminder” to the department to terminate them ‘on or before March 30 and make way for educated youths, who still believe in the spirit of competition through free and fair examination.’

It stated that many representations have been submitted “in written to stop the regularization process of the two posts which is clearly under the preview of NPSC having a grade pay more than 2800.”It said that there are thousands of professional graduates in forestry, agricultural engineering, agriculture science and horticulture who are passionately waiting for the posts to be advertised. “The two illegal appointments are clearly violating the PSAR rule/notification,” it alleged.

CTAN also stated that “the two went on perusing political support from the concerned minister, and even to the extent of getting a recommendation from the chief minister as on February 23, 2022.”

Reminding the department to do the needful on or before March 30, it also cautioned that ‘with the expiry of the date line, CTAN and all its 10 technical associations will take up necessary measures to bring justice for the aspirants in Nagaland.’
