Kohima, October 17 (MExN): The Department of Higher Education has informed the general public and the student community that it has uploaded the list of students whose Scholarships could not be credited into their accounts due to incorrect bank details in the Directorate’s website. In this connection, as per DIPR report, the Department has given several press releases. In spite of the said notifications, there were a number of cheques lying unclaimed in the Directorate of Higher Education since 2014-15 to 2016-17. Therefore, it informed the students whose names/details are listed in the given website to claim the same from the Directorate during office hours by producing xerox copy of the bank passbook front page and one proof of Identification Card.
For the year 2017-18, students whose names/details are highlighted in the given website may submit axXerox copy of the bank passbook front page either to the office or mail to the Directorate’s email: hescholarhip@gmail.com for necessary crediting of scholarship.
The Department shall issue the said cheques from October 21 to December 21 and on failing to claim the said cheques within the stipulated time, the Department shall report the matter to the State Government for further necessary action.
