DIMAPUR, MAY 24 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton visited Riphyim Village on May 23 and interacted with the people there.
A press release from the Deputy CM’s office informed that Patton asked the people to adhere to the government advisories in maintaining social distancing and wearing face masks. He appreciated the Churches, Village Council, womenfolk and Students' Union for their untiring efforts in joining the global war against COVID-19.
Patton said that, even though there is no report of a single positive case in Nagaland so far, there is no space for complacency. He meanwhile asked people to visit the nearest healthcare facility in case of any symptoms similar to COVID-19.
The Deputy CM meanwhile extended financial assistance to the Churches, Village Council, Eloe Hoho and Students' Union of his village and to 20 BJP village units under his A/C.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Wokha, Orenthung Lotha.
