Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): The Railway Affected Landowners Association (RALOA) has acknowledged the positive response of the Union Railway Ministry over the long-pending land dispute between the Railways and landowners in Dimapur. In a statement, the association said the Nagaland government has also taken note of the issue and constituted a High Power Committee (HPC) to work out an amicable solution at the earliest. However, RALOA alleged that the Railways are continuing certain developmental activities in areas under dispute. The association appealed to the Railways to refrain from undertaking such work until a final agreement is reached between the concerned parties. The statement further reiterated the need to maintain status quo to facilitate a mutually acceptable resolution.
