Dimapur Police implements Student Police Experiential Learning Program

Dimapur Police conducted internship programme for 13 students from City Law College, Dimapur.

Dimapur, August 6 (MExN): Dimapur Police in an initiative to implement Student Police Experiential Learning Program (SPELP) under Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, GOI conducted internship programme for 13 students from City Law College, Dimapur. 

During the one month learning programme, students were attached to various Office branches of Dimapur Police- East Police Station, Traffic Control, PI Court, Women Police Station, Cyber Cell including field visits to De-addiction Centers, Observation Homes etc. Students were awarded certificate of experiential learning completion by DCP, Dimapur. “his certificate will be useful to claim the credits in the academics as per UGC guidelines,” Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Dimapur stated in a press release. 

Student Police Experiential Learning Program (SPELP) is an engagement learning programme requiring students to participate in an actual professional activity or work experience. The objective is to enhance the cognitive skills of students, give them knowledge about their local community and improve the interface between citizens and police.
