District Executive meeting highlights government schemes in Kiphire

Kiphire, October 14 (MExN): MLA and Advisor for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, A Pangjung Jamir led an official tour programme and district executive meeting in Kiphire Headquarters on October 9 last. The meeting aimed to discuss the achievements and developments initiated under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA government.

During his address, Jamir emphasised several key government schemes that have significantly impacted the lives of citizens. He highlighted the MSMEs Scheme, which has created 21 crore jobs, empowering women and entrepreneurs while promoting digital trade. He further elaborated on the SAUBHAGYA Scheme, which aims for 100% rural electrification, providing electricity to all un-electrified households in the country.

Jamir also discussed the PMGKAY scheme, which provides free food grains to beneficiaries, and the PMUY scheme, which ensures access to clean cooking fuel, such as LPG, for households. Additionally, he spoke about the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which offers health coverage of up to Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year, and the PM-Kisan Yojana, providing a minimum income support of up to Rs. 6,000 per year for small and marginal farmers.

Encouraging party workers, Jamir urged Karyakartas to strive towards the vision of a developed India by 2047, under the initiative of “Viksit Bharat.”

Former Minister V Kashiho Sangtam also addressed the gathering, motivating BJP Karyakartas to work collaboratively for the party’s progress and development. He called for increased efforts in membership enrollment drives.

The meeting featured speeches from various party officials, including H. Haying, Pintu M Ghosh, and K. Hokaito, all serving as state spokespersons and co-in-charges for Kiphire District. Thritongse, a BJP member, also contributed to the discussions. The reports from both the 59th and 60th Assembly Constituencies were presented by district General Secretaries, Thsatongpi and Toshiho Yepthomi, as well as K Kiumusu.
