Mon, October 7 (MExN): A three-day district level training on Dakshata for medical officers, Community Health Officers and nurses were held from October 3 to 5 at DH conference hall, Mon aiming to increase the skills and knowledge of health care providers for quality care of women and newborns during and after child birth. 

In a press release, Leeyan Chemshy, Media Officer, NHM, Mon stated that the District Programme Manager, Moie Bonnie Konyak welcomed all the participants and explained the purpose of the training. She encouraged everyone to have a pleasant learning experience because improving knowledge and abilities to better one’s workplace is an opportunity.

During the three-day training, the session was led by resource person Dr Yingngam Wangnaolim, gynecologist DH Mon, who covered subjects on introduction to the concept of quality of care and role of Safe Childbirth Checklist; care at the time of admission; essential practices just before, during and after delivery; essential practices at the time of discharge and creating a quality enabling environment in labour rooms.
