Nagaland municipal councillors (Khrielievi Chüsi, Imkongchuba, Neisaleno Khro) along with joint Director and HoD Municipal Affairs Department, Nagaland attended the National Urban Convention 2024 at Delhi on September 26.
Kohima, September 26 (MExN): A four-member team from Nagaland's Directorate of Municipal Affairs and Councillors attended the Praja’s National Urban Convention 2024 in New Delhi today.
The team headed by Joint Director of Directorate of Municipal Affairs, Temjenrenla Kechü includes Deputy Chairperson of Kohima Municipal Council Khrielievi Chüsi, Chairperson of Mokokchung Municipal Council Imkongchuba A. and Deputy Chairperson of Medziphema Town Council Neisaleno Khro.
During the day-long convention, they also attended the sessions on the topics ‘Spatial Planning in Indian Cities’, ‘Reimagining Municipal Governance’ and ‘Strengthening Municipal Finance for Sustainable Cities’.
On the occasion, reports on Status of Urban Planning in India, Urban Governance Index 2024 and Fiscal Empowerment of City Governments were also launched.
