Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): The Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU) has extended its support to the ultimatum served by NSF and ENSF to streamline the teachers of 2010 and 2013 batches of SSA & RMSA into the mainstream of the state school Education cadre.
The Union, through its Media Cell stated that it is dismayed and disappointed for the breach of agreement and decision which was signed between the concerned Department and the NSSTA, NSF and ENSF on June 12, 2018. The Union appealed to the state Government and the department concerned to act more responsibly with sincerity towards this genuine approach.
The Union also stated that it is committed towards this issue, and asked the department “not to take the students organisations for a joy ride and further reminded that taking undue advantage over the silence of the student's community will be one of the greatest errors in the history of educational sector in the state."
“Meanwhile, it is also highly questionable that, educational sector has being providing a step motherly treatment towards its employee as compared to other departments in the state,” the Union stated. It is also observed that teacher's salaries are always being delayed for months and months, and that the Government should never expect the teachers to render its service in empty stomach.
Reminding once again that the teachers are the source of Nation building, such kind of ignorance showed towards the teachers community is a threat to better future. Therefore, the Union reminded anything that jeopardize the service of the teachers and careers of the students community will never be compromised at any cost.
