Yes:
No:
• There is high disparity among the high class, middle class and lower class.
• No. Everyone knows that only some families, political and underground, are developing themselves capturing most of the business, contracts and jobs. This esteemed newspaper should not be asking such an obvious question, sounds too naive.
• Too much corruption
• Look at the eastern part of Nagaland
• The sorry state of affairs all over the state such as road and unemployment is proof of how the vast majority of society is being left out of the developmental process
• Families of politicians, UGs and contractors are cornering almost all development benefits in our society. Those youth with no connection can neither get jobs (transparent exams through NPSC and NSSB offer few jobs which only the toppers manage to crack) nor are able to set up business. The commercial hub of Dimapur is dominated by near and dear ones of politicians, UGs and syndicates. If you're a young entrepreneur with no connection to these elements, you end up being taxed multiple times by these elements that you end up closing shop and the market is left open for only the relatives of these elements. Therefore, we have a monopoly by a few law breaking families while the rest of the population is left out of the development process.
• Because only few district were develop
• No, Nagaland state is not developing for all section of society. Infact it is digressing more and more with only a few people benefiting. The government does not care for all sections of the people.
• A very big no. Can you believe it? Only in Nagaland a contractor has spent 19 crores to renovate a town hall. The government spent 9.5 crore to build a stadium. Another stadium is still to see the light of day after 17 years of construction. How can we say there is development for all? But the public continues to be silent to all these things. They curse in the darkness of their home but outside they pretend everything is okay. The public must wake up and raise its voice.
• No. A far cry from it. The trickle-down effect is not happening in Nagaland. The cream of development is floating only at the top layers of society.
• No. Development is only for selected people, not even tribes. Only few people are benefiting from the development circus in Nagaland.
• No. Development has not reached all sections of the Naga society. I cannot deny that there is development happening, but this is only for the upper classes of the rich and the powerful politicians and bureaucrats. Even the festivals look like it is organised only for them. Right now the top politicians, bureaucrats and contractors are enjoying at the cost of the public. It is sad that there is no one raising this issue and voicing the concern of the public.
• Development has often been seen only in those particular area or district where there is political leaders in power. For which there has been negligent in those remote areas and 80% less or more or less chances that there can be development in all the sections of society.
