Nagaland’s Health & Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom today made a fervent appeal to the people of the state not to obstruct the developmental activities in the name of land ownership.

Because of land dispute issue, many infrastructures in the health centres cannot be taken up by the government, he stated.

The Minister was speaking at the inauguration of the Community Health Centre at Kezocha under Kohima district.
He said the Medical Department encountered more than 100 court cases on land issue, wherein execution of the works have been affected on several occasions.

If the land cannot be given for building the infrastructures, the Minister said, the government should not be blamed for slow pace of developmental activities in the state.

Wherever there is no land issue, the government will accord special attention in building the infrastructure, he said.
Meanwhile, Pangnyu along with Youth Resources and Sports Advisor, Er Zale Neikha came down heavily over recent posts in social media on the credibility of the Neiphiu Rio led PDA government in Nagaland. Er Neikha termed the post as “character assassination, false and fabricated news.”
