Dy CM directs to seal off Bhandari check gate

Wokha, May 28 (MExN): The Dy CM and legislator in charge of Wokha district for COVID-19, Y Patton held a coordination meeting with district administration, medical officers and frontline workers at Wokha town on May 28. The meeting was also attended by Advisor, Horticulture and Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan. A press release issued by Dy CM office Media Cell stated that after reviewing the situation, the Dy CM directed the Wokha District Administration to completely seal off the Bhandari check gate, as it is in close proximity with Merapani in Assam, which is a hot spot of COVID-19.  He also instructed  DC Wokha to immediately recall those officers serving under Wokha district and who were out of station without proper leave, failing which, stern action will be initiated against those erring officials. Patton also appealed the people of Wokha district not to panic, but to cooperate with the district COVID-19 taskforce. The Dy CM earlier held a series of meetings with the stakeholders including Lotha Hoho, Eloe Hoho, LSU, Lotha Youth Hoho and WDCC. He also met the BJP Office bearers and karyakatras of Wokha unit and gave financial assistance to all the CSOs concerned and the party to meet unforeseen expenses related to COVID-19.
