Dimapur, March 24 (MExN): In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Edugraph 18 Under 18 - from The Telegraph Online- felicitated young achievers under the age of 18 from Eastern India. The judges chose 18 achievers from the top 50 finalists after a round of one-to-one online interviews. 

The Edugraph 18 Under 18 achievers have excelled in various fields from sports to science and from poetry to dance and were felicitated at a grand finale at GD Birla Sabhaga, Kolkata on March 22. 

Likuta Persis Tissicca, a class 9 student of Hollotoli School, Dimapur was adjudged as one of the winners of Edugraph 18 Under 18. A press release from Hollotoli School said that Likuta is a Taekwondo champ. She has been coached at her school from the start. Likuta had represented Nagaland and won gold in the Under-41 kg at the 12th National Taekwondo Championship 2021.

Zaiyigum Zeliang, a Class 3 student of Hollotoli School was felicitated under the Special Mention Category. Zaiyigum is a full stack developer. He developed the app Parent Teacher Interaction (PTI) to facilitate digital communication between parents and teachers.  

The jury consisted of singer-songwriter Anupam Roy; grandmaster Dibyendu Barua; psychiatrist Jai Ranjan Ram; Olympic shooter and Arjuna award winner Joydeep Karmakar; author and professor Kunal Basu; actress Paoli Dam; professor and former director of IIT Kharagpur Partha Pratim Chakrabarti; Jungle Crows founder Paul Walsh; and dancer-actress Sreenanda Shankar.
