Longleng, April 11 (MExN): The Department of Agriculture, Longleng organised a programme for distributing farmer’s machineries under SMAM 2022-2023 to the beneficiary farmers under Longleng district.
A DIPR report stated that the programme was held at District Agriculture Office with S Chingmei, EAC Longleng as special guest on April 11.
S Chingmai in her speech said for the district to head in the right direction, it requires the knowledge of acquiring different kinds of schemes provided for the welfare of the Government. She extended her appreciation to the State Government, the Department of Agriculture for looking after the welfare of the farmers. She added that they were fortunate that to be led by local officers.
Chingmai stated that if testimonies can be shared by the beneficiaries about the tools and equipment provided by the Government, it would bring a positive outcome. She called upon the gathering to preserve seeds for the future. She encouraged the farmers to utilise the machines judiciously
Keynote address was delivered by S Yongchang Phom, DAO Longleng. On behalf of farmers, Samoi Phom from Pongching village said the word of appreciation. Invocation was pronounced by C Hitong Phom and the programme was chaired by M Chingsang Phom, AI Longleng.
