Festival greetings

Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): The Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton has greeted the Aos on the occasion of Tsüngrenmong. Patton said that the celebration is held prior to harvesting for honouring and pleasing the Creator for bumper crops. “It is not just a festival, but a source of building unity. And in unity lies the strength of the people. May the blessings of Tsüngrenmong be upon the community,” he stated. 

The NSCN (R) Akato Chophi led conveyed festival greetings on the occasion of Tsüngrenmong of the Ao Nagas, which is observed during the 1st week of August. “The Ao Nagas is one of the advanced community among Nagas tribes who excels and leads in many fields. May this festival also foster a spirit of unity and peace amongst the Nagas,” a message issued by its MIP stated.

The NSCN-K (Niki Group) has extended festival greetings of Tsüngrenmong and Nyaknyulum to the Ao and Chang communities. “As the two communities celebrate their respective festivals with pomp and gaiety, expressing gratitude and seeking blessings of the almighty for the days ahead, may the grace of almighty God be upon the community members. Also, may the spirit of the festival strength the brotherhood and unity among the people,” it stated.
