The weeklong Festival of Science & Technology-Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate entered the second day here today at Science & Technology Complex.
Around 103 students from Northfield Higher Secondary School, Dr Neilhouzhü Kire Government Higher Secondary School, Bethel Higher Secondary School and Minister’s Hill Higher Secondary School joined day two event.
Talking on the topic, ‘from annals of history of science,’ Dr Aniruddha Jakaria, Scientist C, ICMR-RMRCNE, Dibrugarh highlighted the various Indian research activities and the breakthrough achievements in its historical journey.
He outlined the recent development and achievements in the field of affordable technology, successful epidemic investigation and mitigation and policy interventions.
Dr Rashmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Teacher Education, Kohima Campus, was the second speaker for the day. She highlighted the eminent scientists of Ancient and Medieval India, and also a glimpse of scientists of modern India.
The other highlights of day two programme includes; Lego Robotics demonstration, lab visit, posters exhibition and quiz competition.
Meanwhile, day three (February 24) event will start from 11:00 am onwards. Resource person Sreeprasad MK, organizing secretary VIBHA will talk on ‘Milestone of modern Science & Technology.’
