Free distribution of nutritional supplements to elders in Yachem

Longleng, May 13 (MExN): The Health Centre Management Committee (HCMC) of Yachem PHC led by Dr Chai, MO with the support from Nagaland Health Project (NHP) conducted free distribution of nutritional supplements to the elders in the community.

In addition, the HCMC along with the Frontline Health Workers also distributed soaps and hand sanitizers to the community members. Similar activities were carried out by the different Village Health Committees, NHP in collaboration with FLWs at Noksosang, Tamlu Village, Ametchong and Kangching. The FLWs also demonstrated proper hand washing method.

A press release issued by Richard Thong, District Facilitator, DPMU, NHP-Longleng stated that in Longleng, altogether 25 communitized health committees are supported by NHP.
