According to an update from the school, Vedusa, Assistant Headmaster of the school, addressed the inaugural function and described the meet as one of the most awaited events in a student’s life. He said that sports bring people together, fostering teamwork, respect and passion, and drew parallels with global sporting events such as the Olympic Games.

He stated that beyond competition, sports help shape character by instilling discipline, leadership and resilience, while also contributing to social change by advocating equality and justice. “On this field, you will learn lessons no classroom can teach- the value of hard work, the courage to face challenges, and the humility to accept both victory and defeat,” he said.

He urged participants to give their best not just to win but to grow, while maintaining honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. He added that success is measured not only by results but by determination and respect for others.

The inaugural programme was led by E. Pangmong of Class X, while the oath-taking ceremony was administered by Rangbey Khoubve of Class IX.

The meet was organised by the school’s Sports Committee led by Physical Education Teacher Kecubole, along with teachers Keneingusa Rüpreo and Rüguotsolie.
