Kohima, September 2 (MExN): The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) has announced that the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games (NOPG) 2026 will be held from November 2 to 14 in Chümoukedima and Dimapur.
The disciplines for the Games have been determined in line with the proposed 4th North East Games 2026, taking into consideration the available infrastructure and resources, the NOA said.
The nine disciplines are archery (men and women), athletics (men and women), badminton (men and women), basketball (men and women), boxing (men and women), football (men), pencak silat (men and women), taekwondo (men and women), and wushu (men and women).
Separate competition notifications will be issued to the concerned sports associations. The contingents for the Games will be constituted on the basis of Nagaland's 17 districts.
Registration of players and teams will be conducted electronically from October 1, with October 15 being the last date for submission of player and official registrations.
"No changes to the registered names will be permitted after the completion of the registration process," the NOA said.
The Games Organising Committee will provide accommodation, local transportation, food and technical arrangements for competitions in the host cities. The dates of arrival and departure will be notified separately.
