Zunheboto, June 4 (MExN): On the State government’s decision to bring back the returnees from their respective locations, Advisor, School Education, KT Sukhalu has stated that the government took “a conscious decision” as many were facing hardships.

“Now to contain COVID-19 is the responsibility of every individual and citizen, as the government cannot do it alone without the people’s support,” Sukhalu stated while addressing a review meeting at the DC's Conference Hall in Zunheboto on June 4.

“Many administration officers and especially the frontline workers are working round the clock. If every one of us is socially responsible, we can contain this. We must support our frontline workers and work together inorder to succeed in containing this outbreak,” he stated.

Addressing the gathering of Zunheboto District Task Force, District Administration, Police, and Medical department, Sukhalu asked the members present create more awareness among the public.

He also suggested that some skill development training be given to the people under quarantine to help rehabilitate them and asked that the police force be extra vigilant in the quarantine centres to prevent any cases of people trying to runaway.

The legislator was apprised by the District Administration and Medical department on the current status at the quarantine centres and the district as a whole.

Later, the Advisor visited various sites allocated as quarantine centres across Zunheboto town. He also inspected the ongoing rostrum construction at local ground and the site allocated for construction of a multi-purpose hall in the town.
