Kohima, May 15 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi has expressed deep shock at the demise of Manli Phom, wife of late Bautung Phom, one of the Founding Fathers of Nagaland State on May 15 at Tamlu.
In a condolence note addressed to C Henkup Phom, grandson of late Bautung Phom, the Governor said, that Manli Phom will be remembered for being the force behind her husband late Bautung Phom who was martyred soon leaving the entire responsibility of his family on her shoulders at a very young age. She will be remembered also for her love and warmth towards her people. “Story of her life will ever remain an inspiration for those who fearlessly dedicate their lives to the genuine cause of the suffering people,” Ravi stated.
The Governor prayed to God to give strength to the family to bear the loss and grant them peace and solace at this hour of pain.
