Kohima, May 7 (MExN): On the occasion of World Red Cross Day (May 8), Governor of Nagaland, Dr. Ashwani Kumar has wished the Red Cross Society Nagaland success in its commendable humanitarian efforts. The Governor expressed happiness that Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch will be celebrating the World Red Cross Day along with the birth anniversary of Sir Henry Dunant, the founder of Red Cross. Red Cross, Dr. Kumar said, is the most effective organization of the world providing relief and succour to the victims of armed conflicts and natural calamities. The Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland Branch has been doing laudable work in providing relief/rehabilitation, first aid and organizing medical camps etc, he acknowledged.
